I modified my new Handyman EP to recall the US Navy F8F Bearcat aircraft carrier fighter of 1945. I shortened the rubber by 1-1/4" to get a better likeness profile and rounded the edges of the rubber and elevator. Also the bigger 2-1/2" wheels look better and give better rough field performance.

The painting was a trial and error process. I found that regular spray can paint gave the surface an alligator skin type texture. Not good. But at Michaels craft store I found a spray can paint by Design Master, "Colortool" that is safe for styrofoam. So I sprayed on several coats of that, (and indeed the surface was not effected), and then a light coating of regular Krylon spray paint over the top of that to give the color I wanted.
